Collaborate in Ableton Live, live.

Seedbed is an Ableton Live extension that puts two or more producers in the same Set at the same time. Change the tempo, drop a clip, add a track — everyone sees it.

1.1.1Live sync

One Set, everyone in it.

Start a jam and send the link. When someone joins, their Live picks up the room's tempo, tracks and clips. Every edit after that syncs to the whole room. No exporting, no zipping project folders, no "which version is latest?".

2.1.1Seeds

Not just people you know.

Every jam starts from a seed: someone's unfinished idea. Pick one from the Crate, open it in Live, and either build on it alone or invite people in. Producers on Seedbed have jammed across countries on day one.

Remixes branch off the seed they came from, with who made each one. Your idea can travel and still point back to you.

Questions about collaborating in Ableton

How do you collaborate on an Ableton project in real time?

Install the Seedbed extension, open a seed or your own idea, and start a jam. Share the link; anyone who joins from their own Live gets the same Set, and edits sync live.

Which version of Ableton Live do I need?

Seedbed currently requires Ableton Live 12 Beta, on macOS or Windows.

Does everyone need Ableton?

No. Collaborators can also open seeds in the Seedbed browser studio or in Audiotool, then hand them back to Live.

Is this the same as Ableton Link?

No. Ableton Link syncs tempo between apps. Seedbed syncs the project itself: tracks, clips and tempo in a shared Set.
